It cannot be denied that the color trends in the world always look up to the West, in which the colors are according to their nature & skin tone. Meanwhile in Asia, we have different conditions & physical surroundings whereas our natural resources and Indonesian culture have priceless potential. Based on this, Dr. Martha Tilaar encouraged herself to explore the cultural and natural resources of Nusantara and mixed it with the world color trend to create a color trend that matches the Asian skin tone, particularly Indonesian skin tone. In 1987, the first color trend in Indonesia, "Senja Di Sriwedari" was introduced by Sariayu Martha Tilaar Brand. The first color trend received a warm response from Indonesian women; hence, the success prompted Sariayu Martha Tilaar Brand to continue introducing color trends every year from that time onwards. To date, Sariayu Martha Tilaar Brand has launched 21 successful color trends, which have become the beauty reference of Indonesian women and greatly supported by popular Indonesian designers.

	1987 SENJA DI SRIWEDARI "Noon in Sriwedari" The first color trend in Indonesia depicts a beautiful noon in Sriwedari Park, inspiring enough to create a combination of yellow & orange nuances for the eyes, cheeks and lips.
	1988 GAYA WARNA DISAINER "Designer Color Style" Sasirangan Color Style and Renda Sutera Color Style. Specially created for the Indonesian designers for cosmetic colors in Designer Color Style 1988.
	1989 SUMATERA BERGAYA "Sumatera in Style" Sumatera Embroidery and Sumatera Jungle. The beauty of Sumatera's jungle and various fascinating embroidery has inspired the color trend "Sumatera in Style."
	1990 PURI PRAMESWARI "Prameswari Temple" Puri Bali and Puri Cirebon Collection. The magnificence of temples in Gods Island (Bali) and Cirebon inspired the creation of Puri Prameswari color collection in two collections.
	1991 SENANDUNG NYIUR Nyiur Hijau and Nyiur Lembayung Collection. The harmony of coconut trees at Nusantara beach and violet/lavender nuance in the horizon as the background inspired Senandung Asmat make-up style.
	1992 RIWAYAT ASMAT Asmat Brazza and Asmat Agats Collection. The beauty of Irian Jaya's nature with its great cultures, reflected in its various unique art inspired Sari Ayu Riwayat Asmat make-up style.
	1993 RAMA-RAMA TORAJA Rama-rama Toraja and Rama-rama Bantimurung. South Sulawesi has a captivating nature and culture. Waterfalls in Bantimurung with thousands of colorful butterflies, and Tana Toraja with its diverse cultures inspired the creation of Rama-rama Toraja color trend.
	1994 BANDA NAIRA Banda and Naira Collection Banda Naira with its beauty and rich natural resources became the gateway of the European to Indonesia in the past. The history inspired the creation of Banda and Naira Color Trend.
	1995 LENGGANG BETAWI Sunda Kelapa and Marunda Collection. Betawi is a chosen land attracting people to perform in the glamorous metropolitan. The genuine culture is exotic, bravely great modern culture for improvement of the nation.
	1996 ACEH GEMILANG Gayo and Samudera Pasai. Aceh reflects millions of variations and millions of attractions, eternal legend of victory in the past, beautiful panorama like colorful pictures. The variation of its culture depicts the mixture of its many ethnics.
	1997 MISTERI DAYAK Apokayan and Mahakam. Jungle. Culture. Beauty of women. The life of Dayak community is full of color and mystery exposed in Sari Ayu Color Trend 1997.
