COLOR TREND IN INDONESIA
It
cannot be denied that the color trends in the world always look up to
the West, in which the colors are according to their nature & skin tone.
Meanwhile in Asia, we have different conditions & physical surroundings
whereas our natural resources and Indonesian culture have priceless
potential. Based on this, Dr. Martha Tilaar encouraged herself to explore
the cultural and natural resources of Nusantara and mixed it with the
world color trend to create a color trend that matches the Asian skin
tone, particularly Indonesian skin tone. In 1987, the first color trend
in Indonesia, "Senja Di Sriwedari" was introduced by Sariayu Martha
Tilaar Brand. The first color trend received a warm response from Indonesian
women; hence, the success prompted Sariayu Martha Tilaar Brand to continue
introducing color trends every year from that time onwards. To date,
Sariayu Martha Tilaar Brand has launched 21 successful color trends,
which have become the beauty reference of Indonesian women and greatly
supported by popular Indonesian designers.
